The Early Days
Reach Out Fellowship is a born again, Spirit-filled, full Gospel, family oriented fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ. We emphasize worship and Bible study in all of our services. We are located in the Albany-Colonie area (Capital Region) of NY. After a prophetic word to Mother Verna in 1977, and a confirming word to Pastor Jerry in 1983, Jerry, Mort, and Verna Lynn, with a small body of believers, began meeting on July 3, 1983 as Calvary Chapel of Albany, in association with the Calvary Chapel Outreach Fellowships. After meeting in rented facilities, we moved into our own building at 218 Osborne Rd. in Colonie, NY, just north of Albany, on August 6, 1989. The Lord then called us to be independently dependent on Him, and we became Reach Out Fellowship on March 31, 1996.

A Dramatic Change
A New Beginning
Today Jerry and Kelly carry on the work God called into existence over 40 years ago. They serve as co-pastors of Reach Out Fellowship in the Albany/Colonie NY area. Jerry is personally fulfilled to have the wife promised by God over 34 years ago. She is truly all he "could ever want or need". And the church now has an experienced woman of God to provide needed love and leadership, particularly in areas of ministry for women, couples, and families.

In February, 1983 the Lord gave Jerry a seven-fold prophecy about the new direction for his life. The first 6 parts of this word from God concerned his leaving his law practice to start a new church and a teaching ministry with his parents. The seventh part concerned his receiving a wife from the Lord. God spoke clearly in Jerry's heart: "I know the desire of your heart is to have a wife. And in the fullness of time I will bring her to you. She will be all that you could ever want or need."
Over the next 31 years Jerry and the church family saw many evidences of God's power and fulfilled promises. But the final promise of a wife would not come to pass until Jerry married Kelly on July 18, 2014. It had been a challenging period of waiting on the Lord. Satan, flesh, and circumstances were busy bringing challenges. But God was faithful and He fulfilled His promise.

A Lesson Learned
Jerry and Kelly traveled very different roads, which led them down the aisle at Reach Out on July 18, 2014. Since then they have grown and matured in their faith and their love. There have been challenges, victories, and even seeming defeats, but God has been faithful, and His word has proven true. Through it all we have learned to trust in Jesus for everything. Paul said it well: "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness." (2 Cor. 12:9)
God has wonderful promises for you. May He bless and encourage you as you wait patiently for their fulfillment. "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." (Matthew 24:35)
